After compiling our area market research and potential customer surveys, we identified the top three
issues that became the driving focus in creating the Take Out Time On Line food court.
Our story is a three point summary of what were some of the common problems reported by our potential
customers when looking to order take out food from their local restaurants.
First, finding what you want! The search for local restaurants or cuisines that offered what you want or even
something different for a change. Then having to locate the number to place the order. You may even have
that "special" drawer or place where you keep your favorite take out menus, but after shuffling through all the
menus and finally calling the restaurant, you find that the menus have out-dated prices or that some of the
menu items are no longer available!
Secondly, placing the order. If you call during the "busy" times you may have to wait through endless
holding, voice prompts, or get bombarded by commercials while waiting your turn to place your order. Time
seems to drone on endlessly when your stomach wants food and you're on hold! When you finally do get
someone to take your order, busy wait staff may make you feel rushed to get off the phone, not allowing you
to explore all the options or sides that are available with your order. Then there is the frustration of getting
the order correct when you run into a communication problem with either not being understood or not
understanding the wait staff answering the phone.
